Heat Treatment Services for Wooden Packaging
Professional heat treatment for suitable wooden pallets, crates, boxes, skids and other wood packaging, with controlled chamber processing, temperature monitoring, applicable HT marking and treatment documentation.
Heat Treatment Planned Around the Actual Packaging
The treatment cycle depends on the wood, construction, dimensions, moisture condition, quantity and loading arrangement. Our approach starts with the packaging requirement, rather than treating every load as if it were identical.
Wooden Pallets
Suitable two-way, four-way, heavy-duty and custom wooden pallet configurations can be assessed for treatment.
Wooden Crates & Boxes
Industrial and export wooden crates and boxes can be processed according to the applicable treatment requirement.
Skids & Dunnage
Suitable wooden skids, blocking, supports and other qualifying wood packaging components can be considered.
Project-Specific Loads
Unusual dimensions, quantities and loading arrangements can be reviewed before treatment is scheduled.

A Controlled Process From Load Assessment to Release
Load Assessment
Packaging type, wood dimensions, quantity, condition and intended application are reviewed before the treatment cycle is planned.
Chamber Loading
The packaging is arranged to support appropriate heat circulation and practical temperature measurement during treatment.
Temperature Monitoring
Temperature readings are monitored through the treatment cycle so the applicable treatment condition can be assessed.
Verification & Release
Cycle information and treatment readings are reviewed before the treated packaging is released for the next stage.

Treatment Duration Depends on the Wood and Load
A fixed treatment time cannot responsibly be promised for every load. Wood thickness, moisture condition, load density, chamber loading and the applicable schedule can all influence the cycle.
The conventional ISPM-15 heat treatment schedule requires wood to reach a minimum core temperature of 56°C for at least 30 continuous minutes through the required wood profile.
For a broader explanation of the standard, process and terminology, visit our ISPM-15 heat treatment guide.
Heat Treatment Is One Part of Export Wood Packaging Compliance
ISPM-15 establishes measures for wood packaging material used in international trade. For qualifying packaging, treatment and marking need to correspond with the applicable standard and the requirements of the relevant authority and destination.
- Conventional HT treatment follows a defined time-temperature schedule.
- The required temperature condition must be achieved through the relevant wood profile.
- The applicable HT mark identifies treated wood packaging within the ISPM-15 framework.
- Treatment records and supporting documents can help demonstrate the completed process.
- Destination-country requirements should be checked because implementation can vary.
Official Phytosanitary Standard
The International Plant Protection Convention publishes the standard governing regulation of wood packaging material in international trade.
View the official IPPC publication →Treatment, Marking and Documentation Work Together
For qualifying export wood packaging, treatment is only one part of the compliance chain. The applicable marking and supporting treatment documentation should correspond with the treatment performed and the relevant shipment requirements.
Heat Treatment Certificate & Supporting Records
Documentation connects the completed treatment cycle with the treated packaging and the customer's requirement. See the sample below, or visit the dedicated certificate page for more information.
